Lithium Separation
By using a class of materials called LiSICON we have shown that we can selective transport Lithium ions through the ceramic membrane.
This class of material has been optimized with specific stoichiometric additions to optimized the properties under specific operation conditions.
Fabricating a dense, large enough LiSICON membrane has several challenges which is where our decades of ceramic processing expertise is very useful.
