Certain ceramics, under the right enivronment, are able to selectively conduct ions.
This selectivity allows us to design ceramic-based devices for a very diverse set of applications
For example, we have developed ceramics that will allow selective transport of oxygen, sodium, lithium, and hydrogen ions.
Using similar concepts, we have developed technologies for energy storage, carbon dioxide beneficiation, efficient hydrogen production, syngas production, and precision sensors.
